Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to join the military?
No. MCJROTC is a high-school leadership program—there is zero obligation to enlist or commission.
What if I’m not in great shape yet?
Come as you are. PT is scaled and focuses on safe improvement. Everyone progresses from their current level.
How often do we wear uniforms?
Uniform day is typically weekly for inspection and instruction. Uniforms are issued and fitted by the program.
Can MCJROTC help with college?
Yes—cadets develop leadership and service records valued by colleges/ROTC. ROTC scholarships and academy nominations are common pathways.
