Experience Berkeley

The Experience Berkeley Program for High School Students (EBHS) is a free 10-month program that provides Black, Latinx, & Native American current juniors (Class of 2024) with mentors, tools, and resources to complete a competitive UC college application and the opportunity to get a close, personal look at UC Berkeley. The 2022 Program Application is now open and they’ll be accepting applications till March  31st, 2023 at 11:59pm. 

 

*Students are strongly encouraged to apply using a personal gmail account. Oftentimes, school firewalls will prevent them from accessing the application through a school-based email address. United States Naval Academy Summer STEM

Are you thinking of a career as a coder, game developer, designer, or robotics engineer? Then start with the experience of a world-class program like the Naval Academy's Summer STEM Program! The Summer STEM program involves a vibrant week of problem-solving, exploratory learning, critical thinking, and team building for rising 9th-11th graders interested in a future in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Questbridge College Prep

QuestBridge is a powerful platform that connects the nation's brightest students from low-income backgrounds with leading institutions of higher education and further opportunities. Eligible students can match to one of the 36 colleges including MIT, Notre Dame, and Yale (just to name a few) with four years of tuition paid for!

 

To better prep for this amazing opportunity, current juniors can apply to the College Prep Scholars Program here. The deadline to apply is March 22, 2023.     

 

 

Girls Who Code Summer Program

Girls Who Code offers two FREE programs in the summer: the Summer Immersion Program and the Self-Paced Program. Applicants can apply for BOTH programs, if eligible, using this application. However, students can only participate in one Summer Program. Learn more here!

 

The virtual Summer Immersion Program (SIP) is a live, virtual, 2-week introductory computer science course for currently eligible 9th, 10th, and 11th grade US students and international students ages 14-18. Through our new curriculum focused on Game Design, SIP participants will learn beginner to intermediate computer science concepts, UX design basics, and more – all while getting an inside look into the tech industry through incredible company partners. In addition to a completely free program, we offer grants up to $300 and tech support for qualifying students.

The Self-Paced Program is a 6-week flexible computer science course for currently eligible 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade US students and international students ages 14-18 who prefer not to adhere to a set schedule. Self-Paced Program participants can choose to earn beginner-level badges in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web development or an intermediate-level badge in Python for cybersecurity or our new data science track. Students will also have the opportunity to build community through live advisory events and other Girls Who Code engagements.

USA Mathcamp

Canada/USA Mathcamp is an intensive 5-week-long summer program for mathematically talented high school students, designed to expose these students to the beauty of advanced mathematical ideas and to new ways of thinking.

More than just a summer camp, Mathcamp is a vibrant community, made up of a wide variety of people who share a common love of learning and passion for mathematics. At Mathcamp, students can explore undergraduate and even graduate-level topics while building problem-solving skills that will help them in any field they choose to study. In 2023, Mathcamp will take place at Champlain College in Burlington, VT from Sunday, July 2, 2023 to Sunday, August 6, 2023. Learn more about Mathcamp 2023!



Economics for Leaders

Economics for Leaders (EFL) is a selective summer program that teaches current sophomores or juniors how to integrate economics into the process of decision-making in an interactive learning environment. The goal of EFL is to give promising students the skills to be more effective leaders and to teach them how to employ economic analysis when considering difficult public policy choices. This course focuses on the introduction and application of economic concepts and economic reasoning skills and introduces students to leadership theory. Feb 8, 2023 is the early application deadline, March 15, 2023  is the priority deadline and April 12, 2023 is the final deadline. Click here to learn more. 

 

 

US Naval Academy Summer Camp

The US Naval Academy Summer Seminar is the first step in navigating the future to becoming one of our nation's next generation of leaders. If you are currently in your junior year of high school and considering the Naval Academy as your college of choice, attending the summer seminar will introduce you to life at the Academy. The application closes April 15, 2023 and more info can be found here. 



Westpoint Summer Leader Experience

The West Point Summer Leader Experience is a week-long immersion into the academic, military, and social life of a cadet. Our country’s best asset is our people. West Point is trusted to educate, train, and inspire its undergraduate students to become leaders and to make an impact on the world stage. You will explore West Point from all angles, including high-tech educational facilities, team building athletic activities, and realistic military training. You will get a taste of Cadet Life through the entire program, which is led by current West Point cadets. You will experience the thrill of victory when you overcome the challenges of our summer program and will form life-long connections and friendships with your future classmates. Engineering Summer Academy at Penn

Motivated high school students are invited to apply to the Engineering Summer Academy at U Penn for an intensive, three-week academic experience like no other. Take your STEM interests to the next level and earn college credit. The program dates are July 9-29th and the priority application deadline is March 3, 20223.
