Hello Vikings! My name is Jimmy Templin, aka Mr. T, and I am your Assistant Principal of Activities & Athletics. Having served in various roles within HBUHSD, from instructional aide to teacher, coach, and now administrator, I'm particularly excited about this chapter as a Viking and thrilled to be part of the Marina family.

I'm privileged to lead our outstanding Associated Student Body alongside the amazing Mr. Erik Caldwell, our Activities Director. Together, we're committed to working with our ASB and organizing unforgettable events such as the Aloha Dance, Homecoming, Prom, and Assemblies. Beyond the events, our aim is to cultivate a campus culture that's not just inclusive but also a lot of fun! Creating a welcoming environment at Marina, one that feels like a home away from home for all our Vikings, is a goal close to my heart.

When I'm not at work, you'll find me enjoying time with my family and engaging in activities like volleyball, tennis, and pickleball.

If you ever need assistance or just want to chat, my door is always open. Here's to a fantastic year of activities and events at Marina!

Aloha Vikings, my name is Erik Caldwell, and I am your Activities Director!  This is my sixth year working at Marina, and I also serve as the Head Coach of our Viking Surf Team, and teach Video Game Design in our Career Technical Education department.

As your Activities Director, it is my honor to work with ASB and our activities team to plan and execute all of the awesome events that make Marina a fun, welcoming, inclusive environment for every student that steps foot on to our campus.  From dances and spirit weeks, to supporting our awesome athletics programs and fantastic clubs, our team is always eager to help students get involved on campus and make the most out of their time here at Marina!

Outside of work, you can find me at the beach, enjoying live music, getting involved in the community, and hitting the gym.  If you see me out and about please come say hi, I love connecting with our viking community!

Hello Vikings! My name is Coral Gangitano, and I am the Class Advisor for Sophomores and Juniors!  This is my second year teaching at Marina High School, as a mathematics teacher and my first year working with ASB family. After-school, I am also the mathematics tutor for the school and a credit recovery teacher. You can find me at all ASB events and participating in the assemblies as a teacher volunteer. It is an honor to work with ASB and spread the school spirit for all!   

Most of the time I am at Marina, but when I am not, I am walking the pier, at the beach, learning how to surf, traveling, learning a new language, or hanging out with friends and family. I am so grateful to be a part of the Marina Family and can’t wait for what the future holds!

Hi!  I’m Kathy Busby and I’m the secretary in the Activities Office.  I’ve been at Marina over 20 years and still loving it!  Hard to believe I inherited a box of “floppy discs” to store data on when I started.  We’ve come a long way!  

I enjoy both students and staff; making friends all along the way.   I’m looking forward to a great year working with the ASB team and our amazing students in ASB.  There is always something new and exciting to be involved in here at Marina.  In my time here I have had the opportunity to grow my talents and have directed over 15 plays and musicals and continue this passion being a part of Marina Youth Theatre.  

I love going to the beach, watching movies, live theater and spending time with friends.

Hello Vikings, my name is Kim Popp and I am the ASB Bookkeeper here at Marina. I have been at Marina since 2014 and love helping students and parents with their activities and financial needs. 

I love the ocean, playing in the desert, football, cooking and entertaining.

The Financial office is open for students and parents Monday through Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm, closed 11:00am to 12:45pm for Lunch/ASB Meetings.
