National Honor Society (NHS) was founded on the ideals of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. The Marina NHS chapter membership is selected on an annual basis and is open to students in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. Students will submit a google form information sheet in October 2024 for membership consideration. All members receive a certificate of membership each year and are invited to be in the group yearbook photo. Senior members are recognized at the Distinguished Viking Night. Members may also participate in an annual NHS service project to be determined by the members. Members must have a cumulative GPA of 3.6, demonstrate outstanding character and accumulate a designated number of leadership roles and service hours .
